Happy Halloween! Whether you’ve already eaten your way through the candy bowl, or you haven’t figured out your costume yet, the Trick-or-Treat witching hour is upon us. Did you wait until the last minute to put together your costume? If so, fear not, because we are here to help. Some members of the eBay Giving Works team, Alison, Beatriz and Greg, have come up with a few costume ideas that you can easily pull together using items lying around your house!
Parisian Chic Traveler - Alison put together her look with three keys pieces: a red beret, a striped dress and a scarf. Even if you can only find one of these items, you can pull off the look too!
Zombie Prom Queen – Zombie meets prom queen with Beatriz’s ghoulish getup. Do you have an old prom dress, or a dress you once wore to a fancy event or party? Combine that piece with a DIY prom queen sash or crown, and top it all off with a bit of zombie-meets-prom queen make up. Gentlemen, if you’re looking to be voted prom king, this works for you too! Just find a suit and add some walking dead makeup. Together, you’ll be the most frightening (and popular) kids in school!
Santa Claus – Can you tell Greg is ready for Christmas? Even though Greg has the entire Saint Nick ensemble, you can make it work too with just a Santa Hat and some red clothing or accessories.
If these ideas aren’t exactly what you’re looking for, we also have a broad collection of Halloween costumes which might give you the last minute inspiration you need. Whether you’re looking for inspiration from zombies, princesses, superheroes or train conductors, we’re sure you’ll find something that will work! Proceeds from this Halloween collection all support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
