ESPN recently hosted its 10th Annual eBay auction to benefit the V Foundation for Cancer Research, including 250 different items from once-in-a-lifetime sports experiences to autographed memorabilia. 100% of the auction proceeds benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research, founded in 1993 by ESPN and the late Jim Valvano, legendary North Carolina State basketball coach and ESPN commentator.
We are proud to announce that together with the eBay community, ESPN raised a total of $1.5 million for The V Foundation. Keep reading for some of this year’s biggest money makers!
How much would you pay to watch a Dallas Mavericks game with Mark Cuban?
Is it more than $47,100? That’s what the winning bidder paid to join the franchise owner for one of the most expensive basketball games ever. With amazing seats, VIP treatment, and hopefully pick up a few business tips along the way, we’re sure it’s well worth the money.
Maybe you’re not into basketball. But no matter your favorite sport, you’re sure to recognize this iconic piece of sports history:
The ESPN SportsCenter desk. One lucky bidder paid just $26,100 to become its new owner. We bet paying the bills is a lot more enjoyable if you’re using the same desk used by Scott Van Pelt, Stuart Scott, Chris Berman and many more ESPN icons.
Even if you’re not a sports fan, this auction had some amazing experiences for you – like the opportunity to attend the Season 7 Finale of the Voice with full VIP treatment. For a cool $20,099, the winner of this item will receive a grand tour of the Voice stage and green room access before the show, followed by center-stage seats for the entire finale AND entrance to the VIP-only post-party.
Starting to feel like you missed your chance for the experience of a lifetime? Not to worry. eBay Giving Works has many more amazing auctions coming your way. And if you’d like to support The V Foundation on eBay, you still can! Just add them as your favorite charity.
